Ed Mason, Attorney at Law is a solo practice law firm based in Dallas, Texas and serving clients throughout the Texas and neighboring states. We are the law firm many people turn to when they have been convicted of a crime at trial, as we have built a reputation for solid legal defense in appeals of criminal convictions. 

As a Dallas criminal defense attorney, we aggressively fight any criminal charges faced by our clients, including traffic violations and misdemeanors, juvenile crimes, property crimes, violent crimes, sexual offenses, white collar crimes and murder. Unmatched Qualifications
Ed Mason has practiced law in Texas since 1969. He handled criminal trials and appeals for seven years as a state prosecutor, as chief legal counsel for the Greater Dallas Area Organized Crime Task Force.  Mr. Mason has been in private practice as a criminal defense attorney since 1976, and now represents defendants in appeals across Texas and other Southern states.

Mr. Mason is admitted to practice in Texas, including Northern District federal courts, as well as the 11th Circuit and 5th Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is Board Certified as criminal law specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has been named a “Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly magazine for many years running.

He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association; the State Bar of Texas; and the honorary College of the State Bar of Texas, recognizing his continuing legal education. Ed Mason is a past president of the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, former board member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has taught seminars on 4th Amendment law for members of these organizations.
